FRIDAY UPDATE 😎

This is also a reminder that we are CLOSED today, as it is our local Show Day!

The river has come up a little bit more and is flowing at 8m. The traffic hasn't stopped, which is such a different noise background for our little town!
Hope everyone gets to where they need to get too safely and hopefully all roads are open again soon 🤞🏻

Well...good old Condamine is a bit busy with all the traffic coming through!
Make sure to stop at Pioneer Park, enjoy the water views and a freshly made donut 🍩 from The Donut Hole 👌🏼

The river came up a bit over night, currently sitting at 7.85m. For reference..the bridge is 10m high, so still all sweet here!!

Mail has been coming and going and we will be heading out on the mailruns today.
We will not attempt to deliver on any gravelroads today and unsafe mailboxes might be skipped as well. We will be in contact with people along the way to arrange alternative drop off points if necessary!

REMINDER: the post office will be closed tomorrow (Friday) for the Miles & District Show Day!! 🤗

WEDNESDAY UPDATE 🌞

The road between Miles and Condamine is open again, which means we will receive the lot of mail that has made it out to Miles yesterday!
Uncertain, if they send a truck out today 🤷🏼‍♀️ I will find out later!!

To avoid disappointment: if you are in town please come see us and pick up your mail after 11am today! Road conditions can still change and we might not get to you tomorrow to deliver! We appreciate your help this week 🤗

Oh yes, forgot the most important part... the bridge is still sweet 👌🏼
The river is currently sitting on a cruisy 7.55m, which is still 2.55m below the bridge!

TUESDAY UPDATE

The river has come up a bit more over night...roads are still affected, but at least the sun is shining!!

We still haven't received any mail, due to the road being closed between Miles and Condamine!!
This means, NO mailruns today!!
Next mailruns (all 3) are planned for Thursday!!

We are open though and I still have some parcels here from last week, that can be collected.
Obviously..no mail in, also means no mail out at this stage! We just take it day by day... 😎

Just a little UPDATE from us:

Most asked question: Is the bridge under yet?
Nope..water is well under the bridge 👌🏼
We measured 162mm at the post office over the weekend..

Will we receive mail today? All depends on if the truck gets through from Toowoomba. It's like always..safety first - if it's flooded, forget it!!!

With the rainfall over the weekend we will experience delays on our mailruns this week! Of course we would like to get mail to everyone, but this week we might need a little support.
- if we encounter flooded roads on our runs, we will have to turn around!!
- if your mailbox is not on a bitumen road, you most likely won't receive mail this week. We will not attempt to deliver on unsealed roads and properties. Please make arrangements with your postie. We are all happy to meet you at a safe spot. 😊
