Coolamon Amateur Swimming Club General Information regarding swimming timetable, carnivals, memberships and more

28/08/2026

Information has been emailed to families and supporters - unfortunately, at the Extraordinary Meeting on Wednesday 26th August, we were unable to fill the vacant committee positions for Coolamon Swim Club.

Without a President, Vice President and Secretary, we are unable to form a committee and therefore, at this stage, the club will be placed on hiatus for the 2026/2027 season.

We know this will disappoint families, so we’re giving one final opportunity for anyone passionate about keeping the swim club running to step forward and nominate for a committee role.

If you’re interested, please email your nomination to [email protected] by Friday 4th September to allow time for planning the season.

26/08/2026

The final Extraordinary AGM is tonight! We need people to come along and nominate for committee roles to ensure the swim season can go ahead.

22/08/2026

📣 A friendly reminder that an Extraordinary AGM will be held on Wednesday, 26 August - 6.30pm at the Coolamon Sport & Rec Club to fill a number of Committee vacancies.

These roles are essential to the operation of the Club. This is the final additional AGM to try and fill the vacancies. If they are not filled, the 2026/27 Swim Club season will most likely not go ahead.

We are also seeking additional general members to support the Club.

If you want to see the Club continue, please come along to the AGM and consider getting involved. 🏊‍♂️ 💦

We are a volunteer-run amateur swimming club, and the success of our program depends on the support and involvement of our parents and families.

Coaching courses in our area are offered infrequently, so this is a fantastic opportunity for anyone interested in becoming a coach for the upcoming season!

By growing our team of coaches, we’ll have the resources to reliably deliver a wider range of training sessions for swimmers of different ages and ability levels, ensuring every swimmer has the opportunity to develop and succeed.

Please get in touch with us if you would be interested and we’d love to see you at our AGM and planning meeting on 5 August!

If you’re a swimmer, parent, swim teacher, student, or volunteer considering coaching, this course is the ideal starting point.

📘 Before Enrolling – What Do I Need?

To enrol in the Development Coaching Course, participants must first complete an approved prerequisite course.

• Delivered online
• Flexible and self‑paced
• Typically takes 6–8 hours
• Can be completed in your own time

Once completed, you can enrol in the Development Coaching Course.

⭐ Why Become an Australian Swim Coach?

• Support swimmers to develop skills, confidence, and enjoyment.

• Gain recognised coaching competence and build new skills

• Access ongoing learning through the Australian Swim Coach Licence

• Create flexible employment or volunteering opportunities

• Join a connected national coaching community

The minimum age to begin coaching and obtain an Australian Swim Coach Licence is 16 years, making this a fantastic opportunity for students, emerging leaders, and anyone ready to take the next step in sport.
