🚒 Superstars in the making!
With Big Al getting his Fire Fighter Qualifications, it was certificates all round this week! 🚒 Congratulations ! 🥳

‘Big’ Al showing off his latest achievement …. our newest BFF (Brigade Fire Fighter).

What does it take? A whole lot more than people think.

Becoming a rural firefighter isn’t just signing a form, it’s months of training, fitness checks, learning the gear, proving you can work in a team, and showing up even when you’re exhausted. The NSW Rural Fire Service runs on volunteers who give their time, their energy, and sometimes their sleep, all because their community matters.

And now Big Al’s one of them.
Bloody proud!

At 2141hrs last night we were called to a structure fire involving a flue. On arrival we detected heat within the ceiling cavity. Using our ceiling hook we gained access to the ceiling cavity where we found an extension of fire into the roof cavity involving insulation and a hardwood beam. We quickly extinguished the fire and made the area safe. A timely reminder to check your flue. Thank you to Wootton RFB and Coolongolook RFB for their assistance.
The residents were vigilant in calling 000 immediately when they noticed smoke.
