💙 𝗙𝗔𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥’𝗦 𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗔𝗧 𝗘 𝗔 𝗦𝗢𝗨𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗘

We have a couple of special Father’s Day activities coming up!

🎁 Our P&C 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗹𝗹 is on this Thursday and Friday, giving students the opportunity to choose something special for Dad, Grandad or another important father figure.

🥓 Then on Monday morning, we’re inviting our dads, grandfathers and father figures to join us from 8am for 𝗯𝗮𝗰𝗼𝗻 & 𝗲𝗴𝗴 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗹𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗰𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗲!

📋 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗼𝗿𝗱𝗲𝗿 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺𝘀 went home earlier this week. Please return these by tomorrow to help us with catering numbers.

🎭 𝗕𝗘𝗛𝗜𝗡𝗗 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗖𝗘𝗡𝗘𝗦 𝗜𝗡 𝗪𝗢𝗡𝗗𝗘𝗥𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗…

There’s a lot happening before the curtain even goes up! ✨

Rehearsals, costumes, sets, singing, dancing and plenty of practice—our students have been working hard behind the scenes to bring 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 to life.

🤝 𝗦𝗢𝗟𝗩𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗣𝗥𝗢𝗕𝗟𝗘𝗠𝗦 𝗧𝗢𝗚𝗘𝗧𝗛𝗘𝗥

Not every disagreement is bullying. Sometimes friends and classmates disagree, become frustrated or see things differently—and learning how to work through these moments is an important skill.

This week, our SSS focus is helping students learn how to 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻, 𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗮𝗸 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆 and 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗸 𝘁𝗼𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱𝘀 𝗮 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 when disagreements happen.

It’s another step in helping our students understand the difference between everyday conflict and bullying, while building the skills to manage relationships positively.

The countdown is on for E A Southee Public School’s production of 𝗪𝗼𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗻𝗱 – 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹! 🎭🐇

Our students have been working hard to bring Wonderland to life, and we can’t wait to share it with our families and community.

🎟️ Tickets are just $5 per person and are available from the school office or by scanning the QR code.

📅 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧’𝗦 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗧𝗛𝗜𝗦 𝗪𝗘𝗘𝗞

Another busy week ahead at E A Southee!

👫 Our future school leaders continue building connections with our 2027 Kindergarten students during their Preschool Buddy Visit.

🎭 Team 2 students head back to Cootamundra High School for their HPGE Drama class, while our Father’s Day Shops run across Thursday and Friday.

🚌 And Friday is a big one—our Infants students are off to Canberra for their excursion!

Don’t forget our 𝗙𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿’𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗸𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 is coming up Monday 7 September.

🚆 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟 𝗦𝗔𝗙𝗘𝗧𝗬 & 𝗜𝗡𝗟𝗔𝗡𝗗 𝗥𝗔𝗜𝗟

This week, Team 3 welcomed representatives from John Holland to E A Southee as part of our growing community connections.

Students learnt about 𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝘀𝗮𝗳𝗲𝘁𝘆 and the importance of making safe choices around railway lines and crossings. They also heard about the Inland Rail project and the work happening in our local area.

A big thank you to John Holland for sharing their knowledge with Team 3. We’re looking forward to welcoming them back to E A Southee to continue these conversations with our other Teams.

🍳 𝗖𝗢𝗢𝗞𝗜𝗡𝗚 𝗨𝗣 𝗦𝗢𝗠𝗘 𝗟𝗘𝗔𝗥𝗡𝗜𝗡𝗚!

Team K/1 have been developing their cooking skills during Learning Mastery Time.

After reading about 𝗪𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗮𝘁 𝗦𝘁𝗲𝘄, students brought the story to life by making their very own version—with mince, vegetables and noodles on the ingredient list! 🥕🍜

Along with Wombat Stew, students have also made toasties while learning to follow steps, prepare food, work together and build practical skills and independence.

Learning that connects books, hands-on experiences and real-world skills—and something tasty at the end! 😋

💪 𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗕𝗨𝗟𝗟𝗬𝗜𝗡𝗚?

Last week, our students explored bullying and strategies for responding to it as part of Bullying No Way Week. This week, we’re continuing that learning through our SSS focus.

Students will explore 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗯𝘂𝗹𝗹𝘆𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀, how we recognise it, and the role we can all play in preventing and responding to bullying behaviours.

Understanding bullying helps our students know when to speak up, when to seek help and how they can support others.

There’s plenty happening at E A Southee this week!

🚆 We welcome John Holland to begin a series of rail safety sessions with our students as we continue building connections with the Inland Rail project.

🎭 We’re also excited to give children from Milestones Early Learning a special sneak peek of our upcoming Wonderland production!

📚 Then on Friday, it’s time for our 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹𝘀 𝗕𝗼𝗼𝗸 𝗪𝗲𝗲𝗸 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗲! Permission notes have been sent via School Bytes—now it’s time to get those costumes ready!

💬 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝗶𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗖𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲—𝗧𝗼𝗴𝗲𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿

At E A Southee Public School, 𝘄𝗲 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀.

Recently, we asked them about behaviour, expectations and our R Stars. Their feedback tells a positive story about how students experience our school—and gives us valuable information to keep strengthening what we do.

Our staff have been using this student voice, alongside the NSW Department of Education’s Care Continuum, to reflect on and refine our whole-school approach.

We’re proud of what our students told us—and 𝘄𝗲’𝗹𝗹 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴.
