While you're enjoying the game tonight, keep an eye on the BBQ and fire pits.
We'll be on standby if you need us - but we'd rather you enjoy the game without us turning up 🚒

👉Although there are no official weather warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology, very heavy rain is expected from tomorrow through to Friday across our region.

🏠 Now is the time to prepare your home by following these steps:
✅️Clear gutters and drains of built up debris
✅️Secure loose items on your property
✅️Trim overhanging trees and branches
✅️Never drive or walk through flood waters

👉Please also take care on our roads this week and allow extra time to reach your destination safely.

|Incident call - smoke in vicinity|

👉An unusual call for Copa and Avoca Beach Rural Fire Brigade today, when we were responded to The Round Drive in Avoca Beach for reports of smoke issuing out of multiple drains on the road.
🔎Firefighters arrived on scene and quickly solved the mystery - an illegal backyard burn in front of a storm water drain, which was sending smoke around 100 metres through the drain to the road.
👨‍🚒Firefighters extinguished the fire and explained the burning regulations to the property owner.
