Cox Peninsula Volunteer Fire Brigade

Today we welcomed home the 22 Northern Territory Fire and Emergency Services personnel who have been assisting with the Victorian bushfire response.

In total, 56 NTFES frontline firefighters and Incident Management Team personnel were deployed to support Victorian crews over the past two weeks.

Drawn from NT Fire and Rescue Service, Bushfires NT and the NT Emergency Service, our personnel were based in Bendigo, Mildura, Puckapunyal and the State Control Centre in Melbourne.

These deployments highlight the way emergency services across Australia work together when communities are under threat.

Our thoughts remain with the Victorian communities impacted by these bushfires, and we acknowledge the challenges they continue to face during recovery.

Dear wagaiteers, please stay indoors, stay safe and call 000 in case of emergency! The brigade members will be out at daylight to assess the damage, then wait for further directions.

Please stay safe this Territory Day everyone and be considerate of your neighbors and their pets.. The beach is a great safe place to let those fireworks off. But please take your rubbish with you. If you see a fire call 000. And they will contact the Cox Pen Brigade.
