💥ADOPTION UPDATE - SQUIZZ💥

Foreman Squizz is on the job! 😅

After giving birth to our little firecracker Ziggie, Squizz is now enjoying a well earned retirement but this hasn't slowed her down.

She is still as curious and cheeky as ever. Her favourite thing lately is inspecting our keepers work! Fortunately she is a very fare boss.

Squizz is now hanging out with friends Aroha and Manina and wowing guests on our feeding tours.

Keep up the good work Squizz!

❤️RETURNING SPONSOR - THE REYNOLDS FAMILY❤️

Devils@Cradle would like to extend a massive THANK YOU the Reynolds Family for their continued sponsorship of Ethan.

Ethan was sponsored and named in 2024 by Robyn and Derek in memory of their gorgeous son Ethan. Read more about their story here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14iBXu1S1jL/

Robyn says: "We're really happy that Ethan is happy and healthy and that his namesake would be smiling down from Heaven xx"

Three-year-old Ethan (the quoll) has been recommended to breed this year. Let's hope the ladies find him as cute as we do!

Thank you again, Reynolds Family, for your continued support of Ethan, our sanctuary and the Tasmanian Quoll Conservation Program.

💥ADOPTION UPDATE - DAICOS💥

Last year Daicos tried his hand at wooing some of our ladies but sadly did not sire any young. It seems that the ladies were a bit too much to handle. Since then he has been enjoying a more quiet bachelor life and resting up.

It looks like Daicos will be given another chance at breeding this season so he'll need to get himself back into gear very soon!

For now he continues to be one of our superstars on the After Dark Feeding Tour.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RIPLEY!🎉🎉🎉

It's hard to believe that little Ripley is celebrating his first birthday today!

Ripley is a little Eastern quoll who was born here as part of the Tasmanian Quoll Conservation Program. At only 2 months old, at 17g, furless and blind, Ripley was dropped out of his mother's pouch and sadly, she did not return to him. It fell to keeper Pru to hand raise him. She decided to name him Ripley, as he looked like a little alien and keeper Pru knew he was a fighter!

At such a tender age there was every chance he would not pull through. He was started on 3hrly feeds, including during the night, and he was so small he was fed via a syringe and had to be kept in an incubator until his fur had grown in.

At approximately 80 days old, when his eyes were due to open, we found that they were not developing as they normally would. A visit to the vet confirmed little Ripley has microphthalmia, a congenital condition where his eyes are incredibly small. He can still see, but not very well.

Despite the odds, Ripley (believe it or not) pulled through. He has grown into a very friendly, happy and confident young man. He LOVES playing with keepers and climbing all over them.

He is now a year old which officially makes him an adult. Ripley is still loving life and has become our most popular quoll entertaining guests on our tours through the day.

Ripley will require on going special care. If you would like to contribute to this, he is available to 'adopt' by visiting https://devilsatcradle.com/product/ripley/
