Content posted on the City of Casey Community Centres page and related pages are monitored and moderated by staff during business hours from Monday to Friday, except public holidays. We make reasonable efforts to monitor participation to ensure comments posted are courteous and avoid making offensive comments. Please remember that Facebook is a public space on the internet and all interaction is publicly viewable and searchable over time and may be archived outside of Facebook, even if it has been deleted from this account. The City of Casey reserves the right to delete any comments that are deemed inappropriate. Comments including, but not limited to, the following may be deleted by the moderators:
Comments that contain abusive, hurtful or inappropriate language or statements (for example, but not limited to, comments that are discriminatory on the basis of race, gender, sexuality, religion, national origin, age, or disability, as well as those that contain profanity, are sexually explicit, lewd, provocative, or that describe graphic violence or lawlessness)
Comments that violate another individual’s privacy
Comments that breach any copyright laws
Comments that are considered spam with repeat posts
Comments that are not suitable to all ages. Comments that are overtly political
Comments that are a direct advertisement for a business or commercial operation. Every four years, Council enters into a Caretaker Period prior to Council elections. During this period, posts which are deemed as ‘electoral matter’ or ‘electioneering’ will be removed from City of Casey Community Facilities page. Responding to posts/comments
We will endeavour to respond to posts requesting information in a timely manner. Reply posts will only be made by the City of Casey Community Centres during business hours. You should contact the City of Casey by telephone, email or letter if you have:
A formal customer service request, comment or enquiry. A response to an item published for public comment. Posts that repeatedly disregard any of the guidelines above will be removed and marked as spam.
