Hi Families,
Firstly apologies for the delay in contact, as most of you are aware I’m living in Melbourne and it has been a little tricky once again this year.
I’m also in the process of finishing my final placement for my Bachelor’s of Early Childhood Education, and next year I will begin working fulltime.
This is very exciting and I will of course be coming back to Tassie to see family regularly so you will probably see me around town.
But unfortunately this has meant I have had time this year to decide not to continue doing the holiday program myself.
This was a hard decision to make as I am passionate about children learning to swim and as someone that has grown up in Cressy myself I know how important it is for children to know.
I’ve been doing this by myself for five years and training for two more prior at Cressy, so Thank you to all the families that have enrolled every year it has meant a lot to me that people keep returning yearly.
I do have some better news for the Cressy Swimming Holiday Program though, as a student that did summer lessons it was important for me that they continue, so I have been in talks with a local girl called Jade Nichols. She has lifeguarded at Cressy last year and worked as a Swimming teacher earlier this year with Anna Jarman in Launceston.
She is looking to do some dates at the end of January, for possibly a five – seven day program around the 22nd -31st. If you are interested please let myself or Jade know.
You can contact her by email: [email protected]
Thank you so much for your support over the years once again, and I wish your wonderful children all the best with their futures!
Madeline
