We’re thrilled to share that our Tailpieces String Ensemble and Concert Band will be performing at Fanfare on Friday 5th June at Springwood State High School.

Fanfare is a biennial (every two years) statewide music festival for Queensland state school bands and orchestras. It celebrates student musicians, showcases their talents, and provides valuable professional feedback.

We warmly encourage parents, carers, family, and friends to come along and support our students. It’s a wonderful opportunity to celebrate their hard work and musical growth!

Our school is a place where children are constantly learning—not just academically, but socially and emotionally.

Dismissal time is one of the few daily moments where our whole community comes together—staff, students, and families—and it’s a powerful opportunity to model the values we want our children to carry into the world.

Parents of Prep - Year 2 students are welcome to attend our Easter Hat Parade on Thursday 2nd of April from 9.15am in the hall.

Have children who are not school aged who would like to make their own Easter Hat? Come along to our Playgroup on Wednesday 25th March from 9:15am to make one!

The Secret is Out… Our Playgroup is Returning!

We are thrilled to announce the relaunch of our Playgroup in Term 2!

Designed for our littlest learners (0–5 years) and their families, our playgroup will be a welcoming space where children can play, explore, learn and connect while parents and carers build friendships within our school community.

Our Playgroup will include opportunities for children to experience:
Structured literacy-rich experiences
Early numeracy exploration
✏ Fine motor skill development
Social interaction and confidence building
Sensory play
Fun, connection and belonging

At our school, we know school readiness begins long before Prep, and our Playgroup provides a beautiful first step into the learning journey.
