An important message at the top of the Empire State Building….

By the way, we are recruiting.

Join us this Sunday at Creswick Fire Station for a ‘come and try’ session targeted at 11-15 year olds. Families welcome & BBQ to follow.

We are recruiting senior members (aged 16+) as well.

This morning just after 10am, the brigade was paged for a High Angle Rescue in the pine plantation on the bike trails.

On arrival AV and Police were already on scene with the patient. Due to the complex location on the trail there was little our brigade could do but wait for the specialists from FRV to bring their equipment. Once FRV and SES arrived a plan was made that would include 2 seperate rope rescues carried out by FRV.

It was a slow process, however after about 2 hours the patient had finally reached the top of the bike trail and into the back of the Ambulance.

If you missed out on our open day, there is another opportunity to get to know us and see if volunteering is for you.

Our Junior Fire Brigade is hosting a Come and Try session on the school holidays.

We are currently looking for new volunteers:
• Day time responders
• Firefighters (must be 16 or older)
• Fire Medical Responders
• Juniors (aged 11 to 15) for Fire Brigade and our Competition Team
• Seniors (ages 16 and older) for our Competition Team
