Working smoke alarms save lives, and Smoke Alarm Action Day is the perfect reminder to press the test button and make sure your alarms are working properly.

Can’t reach the detector? Battery flat? Alarm broken… or missing altogether? No problem, we’ve got you covered.

Simply contact your local Fire & Rescue NSW station, or fill out the online request form at www.fire.nsw.gov.au and our firefighters can:

✅ Test your smoke alarm
✅ Change the battery
✅ Replace faulty alarms
✅ Install a new alarm if needed

All free of charge.

Better safe than sorry. Protect your home, your family, and those who matter most. 🏠❤️

Before the sun rises, we remember.
Our ranks have long been shaped by military service. Firefighters who served in the World Wars, and in the conflicts and humanitarian crises since. The skills, the discipline, and the Anzac spirit carry across. Many never returned. Their names, and their sacrifice, are part of who we are. It is a connection that runs between our service and theirs, and one that continues to this day.

Lest we forget.
