We receive a lot of enquiries about funding for sport and recreation infrastructure. This is one of the primary funding buckets available in South Australia. Check out the Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program below.
There is a new two-step application process with a registration of interest stage with shortlisted applicants only invited to lodge a full application. If interested there is an online information session on Thursday 13 August from 5-6pm.

✨Are your club facilities in need of an upgrade?

💰Eligible organisations can now apply for their share in $5.9 million through the 2026-27 Community Recreation and Sport Facilities Program (CRSFP).

Grants are on offer to support the development of sustainable, inclusive and fit-for-purpose recreation and sport facilities that meet the current and future needs of South Australian communities.

🏡 From upgrading local clubrooms to creating more accessible and welcoming spaces, this funding helps communities build places where people can be active, connect and thrive.

🆕 New for 2026-27, a streamlined two-stage application process starts with a Registration of Interest (ROI), reducing the administrative burden for applicants before progressing to a Full Application.

Insulator pollution remediation works are planned for our region.

SA Power Networks has published the first locations and dates for upcoming insulator pollution remediation works on the Eyre Peninsula.

These works will replace powerline insulators impacted by pollution last summer to improve the reliability of the electricity network.

Customers subscribed to SA Power Networks' SMS and email outage notifications will be kept informed if a planned outage affects their property. If you're not already subscribed, you can sign up on the SA Power Networks website.

Our website will continue to be updated as further works are scheduled. Check if works are planned in your area, view the latest schedule and sign up for notifications🔗 sapowernetworks.co/Insulator-Pollution-Remediation-Program

Flinders Highway is now open to traffic. Expect reduced speed limits for the next week or two as the road surface cures.

This project sees the replacement of the original 96-year-old, 6-metre wide bridge with a new 9-metre wide structure - a 50% increase in width. This provides a substantial improvement in safety for all road users, with trucks, caravans, and other large vehicles now able to pass each other safely.

This project was made possible by Australian Government funding under the Safer Local Roads and Infrastructure Program.
