Please note that the Cunnamulla Fella Visitor Information Centre will have reduced opening hours for the Cunnamulla Show Holiday.

🕙 Open 10am – 2pm

Whether you’re popping in for local information, souvenirs, maps or a chat about what’s happening around the Paroo, we’ll be here from 10am–2pm! 😊

📅 What's On This Week in Paroo Shire? 🤠✨

There's no shortage of things to see and do across the Paroo this week, so gather your family and friends and get involved!

🎸 Every Night in August
Head to the Club Boutique Hotel for live music with Rhyley McGrath from 6:30pm, every night until the end of the month.

🍲 Tonight (Friday 7 August)
Join the Cunnamulla Bowls Club Inc. for a Hot Dish Night, followed by social barefoot bowls. A great night out for locals and visitors alike!

🏇 Saturday 8 August
It's Wyandra Race Day at the Cunnamulla & District Diggers Race Club! Gates open from 12:00pm for an afternoon of country racing, Fashions on the Field, onsite bookmakers and plenty of racing excitement.

🛍️ Sunday 9 August
Spend a relaxing morning at the Cunnamulla Community Markets in Centenary Park. Browse local stalls, enjoy a great coffee, and let the kids burn off some energy on the playground.

🚗 Thursday 13 August
Make the trip to Eulo for Community Markets and welcome the Destination Outback Car Rally as it rolls into town!

🐴 Friday 14 August (Cunnamulla Show Holiday)
The action begins at the Cunnamulla & District Show Society Showgrounds with the Stockman's Challenge, showcasing incredible horsemanship from 8:30am.

🎡 Saturday 15 August
The 71st Annual Cunnamulla Show is here! Enjoy a fantastic day filled with pavilion exhibits, entertainment, competitions, rides, food and plenty of country show fun for the whole family.

🎨 What a wonderful evening celebrating art, creativity and our incredible outback! ✨

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for the opening night of "Under Watchful Skies", the stunning new exhibition by acclaimed local artist Julie Stone.

Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and unique wildlife of the local region, Julie's latest collection is a beautiful celebration of life in the bush. It was fantastic to see so many locals and visitors sharing the evening, admiring the artwork and enjoying great conversation.

Missed the opening night? There's still plenty of time! "Under Watchful Skies" will be on display at the Cunnamulla Art Gallery until Monday 14th September.

🎟️ Entry is FREE for Paroo Shire residents, and included with Museum admission for visitors, making it the perfect addition to your next visit.

Come and experience this remarkable collection for yourself—you might even find the perfect piece to take home! 🖼️

🏆 The votes are in... and we have a winner! 📸✨

A huge congratulations to our July Photo of the Month winner...

🌟 "Stars at Alroy Station" by Chelsey Burns, which captured an incredible 186 votes to take out first place!

👏 A big congratulations also goes to our Runner-Up, "A Winter Sunrise" by Kimmy Wunsch, which received a fantastic 90 votes.

Thank you to all of our talented finalists for sharing such amazing images of the Paroo Shire, and to everyone who took the time to vote. We love seeing our community get behind this competition each month!

Our eye-catching promo vehicle is proudly showcasing everything that makes the Paroo Shire such an incredible place to visit, work and live! From its vibrant tourism wrap to its unforgettable "I ❤️ PAROO" number plates, it'll be impossible to miss.

If you see the Paroo-mobile out and about, we'd love to see your photos! 📸 Be sure to snap a pic, tag us, and share where you spotted it—you never know where it might turn up next!

To promote the Paroo Shire region, Council has rebranded an existing vehicle to show case some of the highlights of our shire, capped off with an appropriate number plate! Keep a look out for the vehicle as it travels around our region.
