Here’s what’s happening next week at Daisy Hill State School 📅✨
As we head towards the end of Term 2, it’s shaping up to be another busy and exciting week! 💙
🏃‍♂️ Senior Sports Day (Tuesday) – going ahead as planned! However, this is weather dependent. A final decision will be made on Monday, and families will be updated if any changes are required.
👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 P&C Meeting – Tuesday from 6:30pm, all welcome!
🎶 Music Assembly (Friday 19 June) – Our Band and Strings students will be performing on parade at 9:00am.
Students are to wear their new music uniform for the performance.

String Ensemble rehearsal: 7:45am arrival for an 8:00am start
Band students: arrive at 8:15am in the usual room
➡️ Please remember instruments and sheet music!

🥤 Slushie Friday to finish off the week!
🎨 Reminder: Colour Run permission forms are due today, and payments are due by 19 June.
We’re looking forward to a wonderful performance and can’t wait to showcase all the hard work our Band and Strings students have put in this term 🎵✨

Week 9 Instrumental Music Performance.
Our Band and Strings will be performing on Parade on Friday, 19th June. Students are to wear their new music uniform for this performance.
String Ensemble rehearsal will be on as usual that morning, with students arriving at 7:45am for an 8:00am start. Band students are to arrive at 8:15am in our normal teaching room.
Please remember to bring your sheet music and instruments.

We are looking forward to a wonderful performance from both our Band and String groups and are excited to showcase all of the hard work the students have put into their music this term.

We’re especially excited for Best Friend Day on Monday — a wonderful opportunity for students to celebrate friendship, kindness and the special people in their lives. We have lots of fun activities planned throughout the day… but we’re keeping them a surprise for now! 🤫 We can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the day together.
To finish the week, families are warmly invited to join us for assembly at 9:00am on Friday, followed by everyone’s favourite — Slushie Friday! 🥤

⚠️ Reminder: Year 5 & 6 STEM Bright Futures Incursion notes are due back by Monday 1 June. If you need a new copy, please see the office.
🔬 Tuesday:
Year 5 & 6 students will take part in the STEM Bright Futures Incursion — a free, hands-on experience that explores exciting STEM activities and highlights future career opportunities in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics.
❄️ With the cooler weather here, please remember to send students with a jumper or jacket each day.

🌈 Colour Run is coming! 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️
Get ready for an afternoon full of colour, fun, and laughter! Our P–6 Colour Run will be held on Wednesday 24 June, from 2:15pm–3:00pm on the Daisy Hill State School oval.

💲 Cost: $10 (includes sunglasses, colour and an ice block)
📍 Location: School oval (no travel required)
🙌 Fundraiser: This is a P&C event, with all funds going to the Daisy Hill State School P&C
⚠️ Please note: As this is a P&C event, payments must be made through the school office only.

👕 What to bring:
Students must wear their school uniform to school.
Please bring white clothes to change into at second break for the run.

We can’t wait to see everyone enjoying the colour-filled fun! 🌈
