Emerging from a collection of rural townships with their roots in agriculture, the Western Downs Regional Council area has become a hive of activity and growth through continued agriculture, manufacturing and resource diversification. Inherently rural in nature, the Western Downs region is located three hours west of Brisbane and

is part of both the Murray-Darling River and the Fitzroy River catchments. The region covers an area of 38,039 square kilometres (an area the equivalent size of Switzerland) and comprises six main centres β€” Dalby, Chinchilla, Miles, Tara, Jandowae and Wandoan β€” with numerous other smaller towns and villages scattered throughout the area.

Remember, it’s Not Just For Laughs. 🎀

Not Just For Laughs was developed in 2015 as an event to lift the spirits of our drought affected communities and highlight mental health and community wellbeing across our region - through a light hearted evening of comedy. πŸ’¬

This year, our comedians will be preceded by a talk from Dan and Ed, co founders of TradeMutt - the workwear social enterprise using funky, eye catching shirts to start conversations and break down barriers around mental health and wellbeing among tradies, truckies, farmers, and other blue collar workers. πŸ‘·

Tara and Miles are now sold out.
🚨 A limited number of new tickets have been added for the Dalby show.
