The City of Karratha is taking the lead in long-term climate action by developing a corporate Emissions Reduction Plan.

The plan will help us to better understand and reduce emissions from our own operations. It will outline clear, achievable actions to help lower our environmental impact and support the transition to a more sustainable and resilient future.

To align with State and Federal targets for net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, the City aims to reduce emissions by 20% by the financial year (FY) 2030, 50% by FY2040, and reach near net zero by FY2050.

Share your feedback to ensure the plan reflects the City of Karratha’s corporate needs and priorities.

So grateful to the community, so excited to see what the next 2 years brings.
