It was a pleasure to meet this morning with the Australian Government Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade Director of the Northern Territory Office, Ms Suzy Wilson-Uilelea, to discuss plans for Europe Day, 9 May 2026 🇪🇺

Together with my consular colleagues French Consulate in Darwin and Switzerland, we had a very positive and productive conversation about how we can collaborate to make this year’s celebrations even stronger.

Europe Day is an important opportunity to celebrate peace, unity and shared values across Europe. It also provides a meaningful moment to reflect on the longstanding contribution of European settlement and migration to the development of the Northern Territory — from culture and language to industry, trade and community life.

I look forward to working together to showcase the spirit of Europe and our shared connections here in the Northern Territory.

During her official visit to the Northern Territory, Ambassador Grezski had the pleasure of meeting with members of the NGO Environment Centre NT who shared their concerns regarding the Middle Arm Sustainable Development Precinct in Darwin. It was a privilege to meet with Board Chair Travis Borsi, CEO Michael Rotumah, and Deputy CEO Victor Williams. We gained insights into the extensive efforts of Larrakia Nation as the principal organisation representing the Larrakia people and their wider community work here in Darwin.

Over the past few days, we had the pleasure of welcoming German Ambassador Grzeski to Darwin and to Good Shepherd Lutheran College NT. 🇩🇪

Her Excellency awarded language diplomas to the 🎓 students who recently achieved A2 and B1 levels of German language proficiency 🌟—a wonderful milestone in their learning journey!

We were delighted to share a morning tea with such a talented, curious, and genuinely lovely group of students. 🫖🍰 It was an inspiring visit that celebrated both culture and connection.

This morning, we had the pleasure of welcoming the German Ambassador, Ms. Beate Grzeski, to our College. Our students proudly led a campus tour (in German of course!) 🇩🇪 It was a fantastic opportunity to develop their language skills and cultural knowledge.
