On the Children and Families NT page, permission of the person posting the photo is implied in the posting of photographs. If a person’s photograph appears in a social media post made by another person, and the person photographed has not provided permission for their picture to be shown on Northern Territory Government social media channels:
The person who has not given permission should private message Children and Families NT social media administrators to request that the post be taken down, stating that they did not provide permission to the person posting their photograph online. Protect your Privacy. Remember, any posts you make on Facebook are public – they can be seen by many, shared, and republished. Please be aware that what your post may remain online indefinitely and can be found through search engines and online archives. We ask that you protect your personal privacy and the privacy of others by not posting personal information on the Children and Families NT page. Where possible, we will remove posts that contain personal information.
