Bachsten Creek Bush Camp is a unique remote wilderness location situated approximately 142 kilometres from Mount Elizabeth Station off the Gibb River Road in the West Kimberley. The Bush Camp is owned and operated by West Kimberley locals, Ann and Rick Jane who have a long history and connection with the area. The Bush Camp operates between the 1st of June and the end of September every year, howe

ver this can change slightly depending on the Wet season and road conditions, etc. It is a very rugged track and you need to be an experienced 4WD driver to take it on. It is also best to contact Ann and Rick to let them know of your trip plans so that they can advise the Camp Managers of your arrival, etc. Contact details are available through our page. The Bush Camp has been operating for over 30 years and offers a unique and hard to beat Kimberley wilderness experience, with the beauty of the area encompassing rare and endangered animal species (Black Grass Wren, Goldenback Tree Rat, Monjong to name a few), remote bushwalking tracks, beautiful and pristine gorges, fishing and so much more. The top Barra fishing location of Munja is also close by and many use Bachsten as a half way point on their trips to Walcot Inlet (Munja). The Bush Camp has bush cabins available, remote and well maintained bush camping areas, ablution block, a bush kitchen, BBQs, washing machine, Solar Power, and all firewood supplied. The Camp has full time Managers present at all times to assist you with any needs you may have.
