This week is national volunteers week I am so proud our our volunteers in Kiel Mountain rural fire brigade and the other rural fire volunteers few week ago myself and few of my other members were presented with our 10 years service and one of our member was present a national emergency medal and other member got his 20 years service as well

If you see a fire please call 000 so they can respond our rural fire brigade or urban brigade to investigate as we can’t respond to anything with out having a fire call registered and the quicker it reported the quicker it can be attended to because everything is starting to dry out. As me move into the cooler weather now the time to prepare your property for the up and coming fire season before it to late. kiel mountain rural fire brigade have been doing a few burn over the last couple week. If you require help to do any Hazard reduction burn contact out local fire warden Guy for a permits then sent me a message and I can come out abd have a look and organise crews to help.

Great night at training another stack burn done for one of our local residents thanks to all the members that came out to training today great turn out 7 member let keep it up and building the number of members turning up to help us build a case for another appliance.

Hey lovely community follow on from permit suspension we now have a local fire ban from 001 hr Monday 27 of October to 23:59 Monday the 27of October please adhere by this as last time the fire ban was on we had resident not taking heed of it and we had unnecessary call outs if you see fire or smoke during this period please call 000 and not brigade phone so we can get crew out as Quick as possible.

Due worsening fire condition all permits to light fire are suspended and no new permit to light fires will be issued from 001 hr Saturday the 25 of October to 23:59 Monday the 27 or until suspension is lifted please watch this page for more information.
