⛺️🚣‍♀️🌳 We are so proud of our DRPS Student Leaders who attended our very first Student Leadership Camp alongside other Sunbury schools!

Throughout the camp, students had the opportunity to build their leadership skills, step outside of their comfort zones, grow in confidence and develop new friendships.

A huge thank you to Mr. Kemp, Mr. Sims and all the staff who attended for organising the camp and creating such a valuable opportunity for our students. 🌳🚣⛺️

🌟👏 We are so proud of our DRPS Student Leadership Team 🌟👏 who visited Joan Kirner Women’s and Children’s today to donate a collection of multicultural children’s books for families in the NICU 💛📚👶.
A big shout-out to Mr Kemp 🙌 for guiding and supporting our students through this project, they’ve done such an incredible job 💪✨.

And a huge thank you to our amazing DRPS community for helping make this meaningful contribution possible 💛😊🌏.

Today, our Newborn Services team at Joan Kirner Women's and Children's received a visit from the Diggers Rest Primary student leadership team, who gifted us a beautiful library of multicultural children's books. These books, in Vietnamese, Burmese, Arabic, Chinese, Hindi, Tamil and Punjabi will help families read to their babies in our Neonatal Intensive Care Unit in the languages that feel most familiar and comforting.

Reading supports bonding and early language development, and this donation helps us offer that experience to even more families across Melbourne’s west.

A huge thank you to the Diggers Rest Primary School community for choosing Newborn Services as your 2025 Inclusive Fundraiser, and for raising an incredible $1,616 to fund this thoughtful gift. Your kindness will make a real difference to little lives. 💛👶📖

🚗 Parking & Road Safety Reminder 🚗

Hi DRPS families, just a quick reminder to please be mindful of parking and traffic around the school, especially on Rockfern Crescent.

We’ve had a few reports of cars blocking driveways, parking on both sides of the road, and staying for long periods during pick-up and drop-off. This makes it unsafe and frustrating for our neighbours and families.

Please keep driveways clear, stick to the speed limits, and move on promptly after pick-up to help keep everyone safe.

Thanks for your support, it really does make a big difference! 💛

📢 We’re Seeking a Before & After School Care Provider 📢
Our current contract ends at the end of January 2026, and Diggers Rest Primary School is now looking to lock in a provider to partner with us to deliver Before and After School Care until the end of 2027.

We want a service that:
✅ Provides high-quality, reliable care
✅ Builds strong connections with families
✅ Supports and includes every child
✅ Offers engaging programs that reflect our school values
