The Diggers Rest Fire Brigade was founded in 1969. The Brigades initial station was located in the Railway Station car park on Coimadai Road. Since the Brigade was first formed there have been only 4 Captains to lead the way. In 1996 the Brigade relocated to a new station which is the current home on Plumpton Road. During this time there have been a number of different vehicles operated within th

e community. The Brigade we now know has two trucks and a car. Tanker 1 is a CFA owned appliance the remaining appliances Tanker 2 and the Car are both owned by the Brigade. The Brigade is made up of a wide range of members, both male and female with ages ranging from 16 to 61. There is a combination of shift workers, full time workers, students and also self employed members which assists with the number of calls the Brigade can attend no matter what time of day.

To celebrate International Firefighters Day, we were invited to Busy Bees Diggers Rest to meet the kids, educate them on what firefighters do and of course give them a turn on the trucks! 🚒

🚨 What a great Night!🔥

Congratulations to our winning team the “Russells”

A massive thank you to those who came along to this years Annual Trivia Night and made the night so much fun!

The night was a huge success, which couldn’t have been possible with out the wonderful companies and small businesses that donated, we are grateful to all of you for your ongoing support of our brigade.

Thank you to the Diggers Rest Football and Netball Club for hosting us and keeping everyone hydrated!

Thank you also to our very own Taylor Murphy for hosting the trivia and being our MC for the night.

💚💜A reminder that tomorrow the Diggers Rest Fire Brigade will be out doing a door knock collection in majority of the Diggers Rest township, to support the Royal Children’s Hospital, Good Friday Appeal from 9:30am - 3:00pm.

Please give anything big or little that you can, to support the sick kids and families in need whilst in hospital. Your support is greatly appreciated.

We also have online donations open now, if you won’t be home or miss us tomorrow! 💚💜

💚💜Diggers Rest Fire Brigade will be out this year, raising money by door knocking the streets of Diggers Rest to support the Royal Children’s Hospital, Good Friday Appeal.

This is the first year that the Diggers Rest Fire Brigade will be participating in this individually, and we are excited to contribute to raising money for a great cause!

If you see our members out in the community on Friday, please come and say hello and donate if you can!
Your support really means alot and contributes towards Life Saving equipment, world class care and viral support to sick children and their families.

We look forward to seeing you out in the community!

We just want to thank the community for coming and supporting us today!

The funds raised today will help the brigade purchase much needed equipment.

Due to your generous donations we were recently able to purchase a BigEasy Lockout Tool Kit to help us safely and efficiently enter vehicles when there is an emergency.

🌭🔥 Sausage Sizzle Today 🔥🌭

Our members will be at Bunnings in Sunbury today from 9am-4pm raising funds for the brigade.

There are plenty of sausages for sale , a fire truck and lots of friendly faces to see.

So please come down and say hello to some of our volunteers and support the brigade.
