As another year wraps up, the crew at Fire and Rescue NSW Station 292 Doyalson just want to say a big thank you to our local community.

Your support throughout the year means a lot to us whether it’s a friendly wave, a quick chat, or your cooperation when we’re out responding to incidents. It all makes a difference, and we truly appreciate it.

ROAD CLOSED | Crash - Doyalson

FINAL UPDATE: All lanes now open.

UPDATE 8.45AM: One southbound lane is now open.

INITIAL REPORT:
The Pacific Highway is closed southbound between Ruttleys Road and Wentworth Avenue at Doyalson due to an earlier crash.

At approx 4am this morning, emergency services responded to reports of a high speed single vehicle crash. The car reportedly split in two after hitting a pole. (Video in comments)

The driver was able to then leave the scene, being found a short time later at San Remo where he was treated by NSW Ambulance before being transported to John Hunter Hospital.

The road remains closed while Ausgrid conducts repairs to the pole.

Diversions:
Ruttleys Rd, Wyee Rd, Pacific Hwy.

UPDATE 7.45am: We are aware of a four vehicle, nose to tail crash just north of Ruttleys Road in the southbound lanes. NSW Ambulance is assessing one patient. Traffic is of course heavy in this area due to the road closure from Ruttleys. Please pay attention to what is in front of you.
