Team Juddy

Team Juddy Cystic Fibrosis (also known as CF) is the most common life-threatening genetic disorder amongst Australians.There is currently no known cure for CF.

Cystic Fibrosis came into our lives in May 2011 with the birth of Judd.There were no warning signs & the only known family history of CF was a distant relative.18 months on,we've decided to create this page to help raise awareness of CF & share our story. We have started this page to help raise awareness for Cystic Fibrosis by sharing our story and to keep everyone updated on fundraising events an

d/or opportunities. We will endeavour to give regular updates on both Cf and Judd's progress with this illness.Please keep in mind that just like every child is unique,so is every case of Cystic Fibrosis. Thank you for joining us here at Team Juddy!

BREAKING: IT’S YES TO ORKAMBI!

After more than two years of impassioned advocacy, Orkambi will be listed on the PBS! We are elated at this news which means so much to the CF community.

This decision vindicates the hard work of thousands of people, led by Cystic Fibrosis Australia and including CF organisations around the country, who have lobbied tirelessly for fair access to this breakthrough medication.

There is a 1 in 4 chance a child will be born with CF if both parents are carriers of the gene change that causes CF. Most parents do not know they are carriers. CF carrier screening is available in Victoria. Do you, your partner or family members know their CF carrier status?

Team Juddy would like to thank all who participated, fund raised, donated and supported us for this year’s Great Strides walk. Not only do we try and raise money for a cure, but to spread awareness of this disease. We had a fantastic day Sunday and look forward to the coming years fundraising events.
