This month we’re talking about dementia. What is it? What are the signs and symptoms? What help is available for you or a loved one? Sydney Local Health District’s Helen Hislop has all the answers, and will also provide tips on how to keep your brain healthy as you get older.

WONDER & WISDOM NEEDS YOU!

Do you have a fun-loving spirit and an hour to spare? Come along on 15 June and spend time with our gorgeous 4- and 5 year olds from Drummoyne Preschool.

Once a fortnight the young and the young at heart connect through conversation and creativity, laughter and learning. Think games, colouring, reading, singing, playdough - and plenty of smiles 😊

DCC is thrilled to announce that our very own Maureen Casey has been shortlisted for Local Volunteer of the Year in the City of Canada Bay’s inaugural Community Awards. Maureen has been volunteering with the centre since 2010, and for the past 11 years she has run DCC’s weekly Conversational English sessions in Concord.

Congratulations Maureen!

And a reminder that CONVERSATIONAL ENGLISH is on again tomorrow (10 June). Come along and practice speaking English in a fun, supportive setting. And it's free!
