This week is National Volunteer Week. We would like to recognise the time, effort, and dedication of our Eulomogo members and all volunteers. They do not do it for praise or accolades; they do it because they care about our community. We thank them for the time they spend away from their families. Without their support, we simply could not exist.

Thank you

Eulomogo crews were today responded to help our mates Geurie RFS with an unnotifed burn inside the Geurie village.

It is an important reminder to know the rules of burning and have a notification in even though it’s not permit season. If you are unsure or having trouble and just need some help please follow the link to the rfs website or give Orana fire control a ring on 6881 3900

Thanks to all the mums in our brigade and the mums that let us be a part of our brigade!
We hope you have the best day!

Today, we celebrate the incredible mums, grandmothers, step-mums and mother figures throughout our community. And let’s not forget about all the brigade mums, who take their members under their wings! 💐

Whether they are supporting from behind the scenes, volunteering beside us, holding families together during tough seasons, or simply always being there when needed most, today is for you.

From all of us at the Orana Team, thank you for your strength, care and unwavering support.

We wish you all a very Happy Mother’s Day. ❤️🚒

If your young firefighter wants to come on board as a cadet shoot us a message or ring NSW RFS Orana Team on 68813900!

It’s 2026 NSW Youth Week!

This year’s theme, ‘Dream. Dare. Do.’, couldn’t be more fitting for our incredible Orana Rhino Cadets.

Meeting weekly, our cadets take part in a wide range of training and activities that build skills, confidence, and teamwork. Made up of young people aged 12–16, they bring energy, curiosity, and determination to everything they do.

They’re bold in their ambitions and supportive of one another. They are always ready to step up to a challenge. The future is in great hands with this group, dreaming big, daring to try, and getting it done. We can not wait to see what achievements they will make in the future!

If you or someone you know might be interested in joining our Cadets, please reach out to the District Office!

📣 Burn Notification Reminder 📣

Now that we are out of the Bush Fire Danger Period, fire permits are no longer required. However, landowners and residents must still submit a Burn Notification through the NSW Rural Fire Service website before lighting.

Burn notifications play a vital role in keeping our communities safe. By notifying us, you help ensure that smoke and fire sightings are not mistaken for emergencies, preventing unnecessary call outs and allowing our volunteers to stay safe and ready for when emergencies do arise.

🔥 Before you burn, remember to-
•Submit a burn notification online.
•Let all surrounding neighbours know 24 hours prior to lighting.
•Ensure you are using fire safety. Burn in a clear area and monitor conditions closely.
•Never leave your fire unattended.
•Fully extinguish the fire once completed.

Your cooperation helps protect lives, property, and our dedicated volunteers.

🕰️ CLOCKS BACK & SMOKE ALARMS CHECKED!

Don't forget, team! Daylight saving officially wraps up this Sunday, 5 April.
At 3:00 am, we "fall back" one hour. Most of your smartphones will handle the jump automatically, but don't forget those analogue clocks, microwaves, and car displays! 🚗💨
While you're at it, give your smoke alarms some love:
* ✅ Test them: Press the button to make sure they're still chirping.
* ✅ Clean them: A quick vacuum or dust helps prevent false alarms.
* ✅ Replace them: If your alarm is more than 10 years old, it’s time for a new one.
Enjoy that hard-earned extra hour of sleep!💤🚒
