When you visit Dunolly’s Historic Court House, don’t forget to take a look at this wonderful board which recognises all the many contributors to its restoration in 2012.
On it you will see the names of representatives from many old Dunolly families, also past and present residents, Committee members of the time and many others.
If it wasn’t for the hard work and passion of these people, this 1863 building would have stayed in a state of disrepair.
Thanks to them, it is now once again a valuable community asset for Dunolly and a testament to all those who have contributed to its preservation, where it now can be enjoyed and appreciated by current and future generations.

Just a reminder that Dunolly’s Historic Court House, Police Stables and Lockup on the corner of Market and Bull Streets, will be open tomorrow, Sunday 26th April from 9am till 1pm.
Please come and visit after you have enjoyed all the wonderful experiences on offer at the Dunolly Country Market.
During the Market tomorrow, you can also check out our wonderful historic Town Hall in Broadway.

Dunolly’s Historic Court House, Police Stables and Lockup, on the corner of Market and Bull Streets, will be open next Sunday, 26th April, between 9am and 1pm, on the occasion of Dunolly Country Market.

After talking to our volunteers, who will introduce you and give you some background on the buildings, you may like to spend a little time examining some more detailed history, together with diagrams, which are laid out, as shown here, on the main table.

Dunolly’s wonderful historic Town Hall in Broadway, originally started out as the Court House in 1863, but after substantial modifications to both buildings, changed functions with the building in Market Street in 1890.

It has been a favourite venue for a variety of events since its restoration some years ago and lends itself to even more! Just a few of the many which have been held here are musical and theatrical performances, weddings, paranormal nights, children’s parties and school events, wakes, meetings, dinners (we have a full commercial kitchen) and so much more.

If you are planning an event, please consider this as a possibility, more details and rates (for full or part of the building) can be provided by calling 0470 540 839.
