Missing prescription goggles. On Friday, a student left their prescription goggles at the Dunolly Pool. Could you please check to see that your child has not accidently taken them from the pool over the weekend. The goggles are worth $300 and only suitable for the student who they belong to. Thank you!

THUMBS UP to Dunolly Primary School student Annabel F**t, who has made the courageous decision to cut off her lovely long locks to help kids who have lost their own hair due to medical treatments! 💇

"I am donating over 35cm of my hair to an organisation called Hair with Heart," said Annabel. "I have also started a fundraiser for Variety, the Children's Charity. Hair with Heart is a part of Variety."

"Variety is a charity that will grant money to kids so they can get the help they need, they could make a wig with my hair I’m donating or the money could be used for treatments," she pointed out.

Having already raised an incredible $1,644, Annabel has announced she will attempt a fundraising goal of $6,000.

"My Mum chose this amount because that’s how much a wig could cost to be made and I hope with your help we can reach this goal," she said.

"By making a donation, you can help provide a wig or other vital equipment to a child in need. Thank you for helping kids in need."

Annabel will undergo the chop at the Dunolly Community Market Inc. this Sunday, while a link will be provided in the comments section for those who would like to donate.

Children's Week is a national celebration of the talents, skills, achievements and rights of children. This year's theme is "Children have the right to choose their friends and safely connect with others."

Happy Children’s Week to all of our local children and thank you for the joy you bring to our community every day.

Plus, a special shout out to our local teachers, educators and carers for the wonderful contribution they make to the wellbeing and healthy development of our young people.

For the current working committee to gain an understanding of the opportunities that exist for increased participation in netball. We are working on obtaining dual courts, upgraded lighting, gender inclusive change rooms, secure playground, better storage and landscaped areas.

“ Look at the differences between a typical preschool child’s hand (left) and a typical 7 year old hand (right). Want to know why a preschool aged child isn’t able to write yet? This is why! Their hands are still developing and are not fully formed. So what should they be doing to support this? PLAY!! Playdough, colouring, cutting, gluing, playing outside, digging in dirt, sensory play, dress up play, science experiments, beading, puzzles, throwing balls, etc.
All of these things help their hands develop. When they are physically ready to write, they will! No need to rush them, they will show you when they are ready.” ❤️
