Student safety doesnβt stop when the bell rings. Over the past two nights, our staff completed comprehensive First Aid and CPR training π©ΊβοΈ
From learning how to manage sprains and fractures, stop bleeding, tie slings and treat nosebleeds, to responding to snake bites, anaphylaxis and asthma attacks, our team refreshed and strengthened their skills to ensure we are prepared for any situation. We also practised CPR and the use of a defibrillatorβlifesaving skills that truly matter.
There were plenty of professional discussions, thoughtful problem-solvingβ¦ and letβs just say some very committed (and occasionally questionable!) acting during our role-play scenarios to test how we would respond in real-life emergencies. π
A huge thank you to Trent and Sarah from Life Saving Victoria and Weeroona College Bendigo for delivering such engaging, practical and informative sessions. We are grateful for your expertise and support.
The safety and wellbeing of our students is always our highest priority, and we are proud of the commitment our staff show to keeping our school community safe. π
