RETIREMENT ANNOUNCEMENT 🐾
At the end of Term 1, we will be saying a special goodbye to one of the most valued members of our California Gully Primary School community – Milli, one of our Dogs Connect Wellbeing Dogs.
For nearly eight years, Milli has supported the wellbeing of students, staff and families through her calm and gentle presence.
She has helped students regulate emotions, build confidence and feel safe and connected at school. Whether in classrooms or out in
the yard, Milli has brought comfort, joy and many smiles to our community.
Milli has played an important role in strengthening our positive school culture and supporting our wellbeing approaches, including The Resilience Project.
Thank you, Milli – you will always be a special part of our CGPS. Nala will continue attending and share all of the daily CGPS news when they catch up each afternoon.

A great day out for our Grade 5/6 students yesterday - even for non Cats fans. We were able to visit the new Geelong Sports Museum and go behind the scenes in the new Joel Selwood stand, completing Science, Math and co-operative activities along the way. Got a sneak peak of training too!

It was great to see so many families sharing breakfast with us this morning.
Huge thanks to the staff involved in purchasing, preparing and cooking breakfast. It was a very early morning for some with over 150 people to feed! 😍

AEU Industrial Action – Tuesday 24 March 2026

Below is a shortened version of the email sent to families this morning:
Following a review of available staff, CGPS will be running a supervision program for students from Foundation to Grade 6 who attend. While a normal teaching program will not occur, all students will be appropriately supervised.

Students who attend are asked to go directly to the Community Centre on arrival so we can confirm numbers and organise the day.

Our year 1’s to 6’s have participated in their first week of Taekwondo through the Kickstarter Program! They have learnt fundamental taekwondo skills in a safe and fun environment with a qualified instructor! We look forward to seeing what else we will learn next week!! 🥋
