G'day friends of the post. The new post year is ramping up. Next month the Inc. will be having elections for the committee at the AGM There are four available positions, Chairman, Director, Vice-chairman and Secretary. Two of the positions have to be VFW Post members and the other two are available for ordinary members. So remember to submit nominations and show up and vote. Let's get the Inc. energized and get the social and fundraising events rolling.

Speaking of elections even though we are early in the Post year we need members thinking about running for any of the Post positions as all are up for election next year. We need some new blood and ideas.

The VFW Department of Pacific Areas Convention has all but concluded. The DPA Commander's Banquet is tonight. The incoming committee has been elected and Cambodia is the location for next year's convention. The Bayview Hotel was a great venue and recommended as a place to stay if you are coming to Pattaya.

Thank you to all the VIPs, guests and families that made it to our Memorial Day Ceremony. A very special thank you to Post Commander Ritacca and past Commander Hendricks for sharing very personal and poignant stories about tragically losing shipmates while they were deployed.
