This week we recognise and thank the dedicated volunteers of our brigade, along with the almost 70,000 volunteers across the NSW RFS and all other volunteer agencies who help support and protect communities every day.
The 2026 theme, 'Your Year To Volunteer', is a great reminder that there's a place for everyone in volunteering, and we're always looking for new members to join our brigade.

On Tuesday night, the Acting District Manager along with our Group Officers recognised several members with the Premier’s Emergency Citation for their outstanding service during the major New South Wales floods of 2022–2023.

These floods, which spanned two years, set records for rainfall and flood levels across multiple regions. The dedication and commitment shown by our members during this time has had a lasting impact, deeply resonating within the communities they served.

We are incredibly proud of their efforts and the difference they have made.
