Know your employability. Build your future.

VETASSESS is pleased to launch Career Boost, a new employability skills assessment service designed to help skilled migrants, early career professionals and job seekers better understand, validate and strengthen their skills, aligning with those that employers value in the workplace.

Career Boost provides a structured validation and assessment of ten core transferable skills, including communication, digital fluency, collaboration, problem solving, planning and learning.

Participants receive clear, evidence-based insights into their strengths, areas for development and practical steps they can take to improve their career readiness.

The service also supports participants to demonstrate their achievement with a verifiable digital badge, helping them present their employability with greater confidence in applications, interviews and professional profiles online.

We're excited to be taking VETASSESS on the road, with Perth taking centre stage in our upcoming Migration Agent Masterclass series.

By bringing senior leaders and experienced assessors directly to Western Australia, we're creating opportunities for meaningful conversations with migration professionals, sharing insights into the skills assessment process and discussing the issues shaping today's migration landscape.

The Perth event forms part of a broader national program that will also visit Sydney and Melbourne, reflecting our ongoing commitment to supporting migration professionals through collaboration, accessibility and direct access to assessment expertise.

At VETASSESS, we believe strong industry relationships and open dialogue are essential to building a well-informed and connected migration sector.

Workforce shortages continue to challenge Australia's horticulture sector - but structured, evidence-based skills assessment is helping bridge the gap.

Under the Horticulture Industry Labour Agreement (HILA), VETASSESS provides independent assessments across 16 horticulture occupations, giving growers confidence that sponsored workers have the practical, hands-on skills needed on farm.

With high success rates, strong employer engagement and increasing onshore applicants, this pathway is becoming a key workforce solution for the sector.

Our latest blog breaks down occupations, ANZSCO codes and what the process means for both employers and workers.

Under HILA, employers must show that sponsored workers have the capability to perform their roles effectively.

This week we convened leaders from government, industry and community at the Allyship Conference 2026 – a forum dedicated to strengthening Australia’s skilled migration system and the social license that underpins it.

Australia's horticulture industry relies on skilled workers, but labour shortages continue to challenge growers - especially in regional areas.

The Horticulture Industry Labour Agreement (HILA) helps bridge this gap by allowing approved employers to sponsor overseas workers when local labour isn't available.

Skills assessments through VETASSESS ensure workers have the practical experience the industry needs.

Learn how HILA strengthens the workforce and supports the future of horticulture: https://www.vetassess.com.au/news/understanding-the-horticulture-industry-labour-agreement-hila-and-the-role-of-skills-assessment
