Students and staff from the Ngaanyatjarra Lands School have collaborated with local Elders and The Indigenous Literacy Foundation to create a stunning new bilingual book about the 5 distinct seasons of their Country.

My Walk Through the Seasons on Ngaanyatjarra Country is the official book for Indigenous Literacy Day 2026 and has taken students all the way from the remote central desert to the Sydney Opera House to celebrate the launch.

The book blends traditional Yarnangu knowledge, language, and student artwork to share important teachings about the environment and animal behaviour.
