Certificate IV in Community Services is starting through Echuca TAFE, and we can't wait to see our community get involved!

📌 Information Session: Tuesday 8 September, 10am–12pm at Echuca TAFE
📌 Enrolment Day: Tuesday 15 September, 10am–12pm
📌 Course starts: Tuesday 6 October

Come along to the info session to meet the teacher and the team who'll support you along the way. Sarah (Koori Liaison Officer) and Rowie Price from TAFE will also be there to answer your questions.

🏆 Celebrating Malik: Excellence Award for Community Impact 🏆

A HUGE congratulations to Malik, who was presented with the Excellence Award for Community Impact on Friday 14 August.
Nominated by his colleagues, Malik was recognised for the positive impact he has within his community and the difference he makes to those around him, showing the important role young people can play in creating positive change.

The night also featured a beautiful performance of Gitjika to Gitjika from a talented local girls dance group.

Congratulations, Malik! Keep making a difference and being a positive role model in your community. 💛

Making a Difference at Baroona Farm 🌿

A great update on John Cubby's men's group program, using Baroona Farm as a space for cultural connection, mentoring and hands-on learning.

Three young men recently redesigned the yarning circle, developing practical skills, teamwork and pride in a job well done. 👏

John will now continue working with these three, plus four more participants, on projects including furniture, a new workshop, garden beds, fencing and general property upkeep.

Looking forward to seeing this program grow and the difference it'll make at Baroona.

Big thanks to Ganbina, Department of Justice, headspace, Mental Health Services, Births, Deaths & Marriages and Sheriff Liaison for joining us, plus a BBQ, pet zoo, and lucky raffle winners walking away with some great vouchers 🎁

Congrats to Narlah Wright and Nimmi Johnson on going undefeated all season to take out the Echuca Netball District Association Grand Final! Nimmi missed the big day but played a massive part all season, and Narlah was named Best on Court
🌟 Shoutout too to Fatai Morgan and Keyonnah Kelly-Wanganeen for an absolute deadly game.
