A great initiative from Byford Equipment, bringing local stakeholders, businesses and community together to learn more about our region’s industries and the opportunities they create, in partnership with Committee for Echuca Moama.

We’re particularly pleased to acknowledge a fantastic partner of CCLLEN and our local schools. Their ongoing support for student engagement, career exploration and industry connections provides young people with valuable opportunities to see firsthand where their learning and future pathways can take them.

Strong partnerships between schools, industry and community are so important in helping young people understand the opportunities available right here in our region. 👏

Great to join Tim from NE TRACKS LLEN and Bec from Goulburn Murray LLEN at the 2026 National NFP Summit in Canberra last week.

The Summit highlighted the significant contribution the not-for-profit sector makes to Australia’s economy and communities, as well as the importance of properly resourcing the local relationships, knowledge and partnerships behind that work.

This is particularly important for rural and regional young people, where strong place-based organisations help connect education, industry, community and government.

Plenty of valuable conversations and ideas to carry forward through our work and statewide advocacy.

Strong communities start with young people who are supported, connected and heard.

At CCLLEN, we see the value of early support, strong relationships and locally responsive services – particularly in rural and regional communities.

Youth Affairs Council Victoria's (YACVic) latest research provides further evidence that investing in youth work delivers significant social and economic benefits. But achieving lasting outcomes also requires investment in the organisations and people doing this work.

Short-term, project-by-project funding makes it difficult for community organisations to retain skilled staff, maintain trusted relationships and plan for the longer term. Sustainable base funding, realistic recognition of the true costs of delivering services, and longer-term funding agreements are critical if we want a strong community sector that can focus its resources where they matter most – supporting young people.

We support YACVic’s call for greater investment in early intervention and prevention, meaningful youth participation, and a strong and sustainable youth sector.

It's the smart thing to do. For every dollar invested in youth services, our community gets $2.96 of social and economic benefits.

A special thank you to Rochester and Elmore District Health Service (REDHS) for hosting students from Rochester Secondary College and Cohuna Secondary College as part of this engaging industry immersion experience. The day provided a valuable opportunity for students to explore healthcare careers, connect with professionals and gain first hand insight into the rewarding careers in Allied Health and Nursing.

Industry immersion day gives local students a first-hand look at healthcare careers and future study pathways.

📣 Youth Take Over 📣
Thank you to Wendy Lovell MP for sharing Rochester Secondary College students' voice in Parliament.

Yesterday REDHS, in partnership with Campaspe Cohuna LLEN, hosted an Allied Health Immersion Workshop. This workshop introduced Year 9 and 10 students from Rochester Secondary College and Cohuna Secondary Collegee to the roles of allied health staff, how the allied health team work together and impacts the team have within community.

Importantly, students were able to discovered a range of rewarding career opportunities within their own community, helping them make informed decisions about future study and employment pathways.

It was great to meet all the students and listen to their interest in working within the health industry. We wish them all the best with their future study.
