📢The Victoria Park Boat ramp will be closed from Monday, 9 December until Wednesday, 11 December while the floating dock is installed. To enable this work to be done, a crane will park on the ramp and lift the pontoon segments and the gangway into place.

👉Alternative boat ramps are available at Echuca East, Casey Road or at Five Mile Boat ramp (NSW).🚤

Attention boaters! The Headworks Rd boat ramp at Torrumbarry is currently only accessible via Headworks Rd due to the closure of Roberts Road from west of Bail Road to the boat ramp. The road closure is in place until further notice.

𝗦𝗼𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗻 𝟴𝟬 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟱 - 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱

We understand that these are challenging times for the water ski racing community. NSW Maritime and Ski Racing Australia are currently conducting investigations into our sport, which has led to the unfortunate decision by Ski Racing Australia to suspend all water ski racing events until 30th June 2025. In doing so it will allow Ski Racing Australia Safety and Project teams to continue working on best possible solutions and NSW Maritime time to conduct their Special purpose investigation.

Sadly, this means that the 2025 Southern 80, which we were all looking forward to on March 21 to 23, will not take place. We understand how disappointing this news is, but we have something special planned! The Moama Water Sports Club is organizing a gathering for ski racers and their families to celebrate what would have been the 60th anniversary of the Southern 80. Polish up your old Ski Racing boats and current ones to be part of the biggest Boat Display ever seen in Echuca Moama. Mark your calendars for Saturday, March 22nd.

We’re still putting the finishing touches on the details, but we’d love for you to join us to reminisce, catch up, and celebrate the Southern 80. We can’t wait to see you there!

🔘 MAN DIES AFTER WATER-SKIING INCIDENT
- (HAWKESBURY RIVER)
- 2:42PM, Sunday 6th October
A man has died on the Hawkesbury River following a water-skiing incident this morning.
About 7.25am today (Sunday 6 October 2024), emergency services were called to a boat ramp on the Hawkesbury River, Lower Portland, following reports of a marine incident.
Officers attached to Hawkesbury Police Area Command arrived and were told a water skier had been injured after he hit the water at speed while being pulled by a boat.
The 25-year-old man was brought ashore and treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics, however he died at the scene.
Police established a crime scene, and a report will be prepared for the information of the coroner.
As investigations continue police are urging anyone with information to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
