🌏♻️ 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝗘𝗻𝘃𝗶𝗿𝗼𝗻𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗘𝗦𝗛𝗦! ♻️🌏

Today, Friday, 5 June, we're coming together to make a positive impact on our environment with a school-wide litter clean-up during first break.

Every piece of litter removed helps protect our local waterways, marine life, and the plants and animals that call our environment home. 🌿🐢

As always, our clean-up will be run as a House Competition:
🏆 50 House points for every student and staff member who participates
🏆 An additional 75 House points for the House that collects the most litter by weight

🧤 Gloves and rubbish bags will be provided.
📍 Meet behind the canteen to sign on and collect your equipment.

Get your House involved, earn valuable points, and help keep our school and community clean. We look forward to seeing participation from every House!

𝗫𝗖𝗘𝗟𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗴𝗿𝗮𝗺✨

Our Year 6 High School Readiness students took part in a fun and engaging Change Makers session, tackling a zombie apocalypse challenge. After touring the school, students worked in teams to decide the best place to survive, justifying their choices based on safety, resources and strategy.

Students also created their own team flags, building teamwork, creativity and problem-solving skills along the way.

We love welcoming local Year 6 students to ESHS and we thank Community Bank Tugun for sponsoring this program.

Proud moments for ESHS at the Oceanic Cross Country Championships recently!
Our students represented the school with determination, resilience and incredible sportsmanship, returning home with outstanding results, including several athletes earning selection in the Oceanic team!
Throughout the event, students embodied the ESHS values of being responsible, respectful and engaged, both on and off the course. Congratulations to all competitors on an amazing achievement!

What started as a senior string ensemble of just 3 students last year has grown into a vibrant group of 16 dedicated musicians; an incredible achievement for our program.

Congratulations to the ensemble on receiving a Silver Award at Creative Generation Fanfare at Miami State High School and for representing our school with such pride, professionalism, and musical excellence. Well done, Notation Nation! 🎶Mrs Fuller and Ms Lanham are so proud of their efforts!

🖤💛❤️ National Reconciliation Week is a time to acknowledge and celebrate the rich histories, cultures and contributions of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, while reflecting on how we can all help build a more respectful and inclusive future.

At ESHS, we are fortunate to have Lailani supporting our students and school community as our Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Education Officer. Her guidance, knowledge and dedication play an important role in fostering connection, understanding and cultural pride across our school.

This National Reconciliation Week, we encourage everyone to learn, listen and walk together on the path towards reconciliation. 🫶🤍

🎶𝗜𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘀 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗠𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗰 𝘀𝘁𝘂𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗙𝗮𝗻𝗳𝗮𝗿𝗲! 🎶

Our ESHS Concert Band achieved a remarkable Platinum Award in Division 1 — the highest award possible in the highest division of the competition.

Originally entered in Division 2, the band was moved into Division 1 after their performance due to the difficulty of their repertoire, making this achievement even more extraordinary. This is the first time an ESHS Concert Band has competed in Division 1, let alone received a Platinum Award.

Our Stage Band also performed brilliantly, earning a Gold Award in Division 2.

These outstanding results reflect the dedication of our student musicians and the incredible support of our Instrumental Music team, Ms Kesting, Ms Cooper and Ms Schramm, whose expertise and commitment help our students thrive.
