As we head into the fire season, its important to get prepared. Have your fire survival plan in place. Pack your survival kit, plan your escape and make sure you have a back up plan.

To top off the weekend we had 2 crew attend a fire at Ningi assisting HQ plantations.

Was really good to work with HQ again to achieve the objective.

We were tasked to do a back burn around some beehives to protect them. Then help to do more back burning to cut the fire off.

All crews worked well and went home safe. Thank you.

If you have been wanting to do something to help your community come and join us we are recruiting.

Wow a big day was had by our crews on Saturday 8th August.

On completion of our second hazard reduction burn for the day, we had a fire call to Rutters Road Elimbah.

On arrival it was well and truly ablaze. We had all 4 of our appliances there working hard to tackle this fire.

Our IC Grant from Pumicestone RFB did an amazing job controlling the incident with a great outcome.

Thank you to our neighbouring brigades for you assistance.

A big thank you to all the Pumicestone crews for your hard work after conducting 2 hazard reduction burns then answering the call to attend a large bush fire.

This is a reminder that the fire season is starting and how important it is to have your bushfire survival plans in place or start planning now.

Our fighters are on call 24/7 and ready to answer the call when needed.

On Saturday 8th August we had crews go out to conduct 2 hazard reduction burns.

First one was at Quinn Road Donnybrook, 3 large stacks.

Second one was at the cnr of Hume and Pumicestone Roads.

Both burns were executed well and great outcomes.

Thank you to Mark who was our IC for the day, even though this was his first time, he did a great job. Also thanks to all crews who attended, you worked so well together to produce the end result.

Great effort.

What a great way to start RFSQ week (26th July - 2nd August) yesterday with our Community Information Day at our Donnybrook Station.

Good to have locals drop in for a chat and walked away with valuable information.

Thanks to Scott from the Moreton Bay Council Fire Management Team for taking time to come along and talk to residents about what they do and how they can help.

A massive shout out to CJ's at the Big Fish for donating the bread rolls for our BBQ and to Brooke Savage for her generous donation of eggs for the bacon and egg burgers.

Want to also thank Wamuran Butchers for their generous support for providing first class bacon.

Really good to have our local member Ariana Doolan drop in to support us.

A Huge thanks to the our brigade members who gave up their to help make the day a big success.

The kids were well entertained with face painting, colouring in, interacting with bushy and got to play with the hose to spin Grants amazing wheel of flames, with the assistance of brigade members. Parents also got to take some photos of big smiles of their kids.

A few pics of the day.
