🐝 We are incredibly grateful to have received a LifeVac airway clearance device through a donation to ZaZa’s Legacy, proudly supported by Bendigo Bank.

Recently, members of our staff had the opportunity to hear from Brian Bwoga, founder of ZaZa’s Legacy. Brian shared the heartbreaking story of his son, ZaZa, whose life was tragically lost in a choking incident. Inspired by his son’s memory, Brian has dedicated himself to raising awareness, educating communities, and ensuring life-saving airway clearance devices are available in schools and community spaces across Australia.

What began as one family’s unimaginable loss has grown into a powerful movement focused on choking prevention, education, and equipping communities with the tools they need when every second counts.

Our staff found Brian’s story both moving and inspiring, and we are thankful for the opportunity to learn more about the important work being undertaken through ZaZa’s Legacy.

A huge thank you to Bendigo Bank and ZaZa’s Legacy for helping us further strengthen the safety of our school community. πŸ’›

🐝 Our students continue to shine when it comes to demonstrating our school values!

In Week 6, an incredible 3,960 Bee Tokens were awarded across the school, including 709 Be Safe Tokens.

Our behaviour focus for Weeks 5 and 6 was Be Safe by keeping your hands, feet and objects to yourself – just like Sunny Safe! β˜€οΈ

Keeping our hands, feet and objects to ourselves helps create a safe and respectful environment where everyone can learn and play.

As we move into Weeks 7 and 8, our new behaviour focus is Be Respectful by allowing your peers to have a turn – just like Rosie Respectful! 🌹 We look forward to seeing students demonstrate this important skill in their classrooms and playgrounds.

πŸ† Congratulations to our top three classes for Week 6:

πŸ₯‰ 3rd Place – Miss Carew-Gibson and the Pre-Primary students of B3

πŸ₯ˆ 2nd Place – Mr Robertson and the Year 2 students of E4

πŸ₯‡ 1st Place – Mrs Murphy and the Pre-Primary students of B5

Well done to all students for working hard to be safe, respectful and responsible members of our school community! πŸπŸ’›πŸ–€
