Quick explainer about the process...

Gaussian Splatting is a spatial reconstruction technique that represents 3D environments using point-based volumetric data rather than mesh geometry.

Scenes are reconstructed from point data each containing spatial position, scale, orientation, radiance and opacity information. During rendering, these volumetric elements are rasterized and composited, allowing highly accurate representation of lighting, reflections, and fine surface detail.

Compared to conventional photogrammetry pipelines, Gaussian Splatting enables more efficient rendering and improved visual continuity, especially in complex or highly detailed environments.

While photogrammetry may still be more useful for 3D scanning during the design process (i.e. when precise measurements are required), are setting a new standard the capture of visual environments. They capture fine detail, realistic vegetation, and reflective surfaces with a level of quality that traditional methods such as have struggled to achieve. Splats provide a powerful way to preserve entire spaces exactly as they are, with applications ranging from heritage preservation and construction progress tracking to training simulations, film & VFX, product visualisation, tourism, digital archiving, and location capture.

Here, we’ve used Gaussian Splats to capture artwork installation for the , titled "Coal Loader Palm Grove", prior to its installation. The result is a fully immersive, true-to-life digital environment that can be explored from anywhere while preserving the atmosphere and detail of the original space.

The NSW Fish Markets is now open.

Proud to have contributed to this landmark NSW project in collaboration with and team by delivering 3D scans during the design and construction phases.

This clip shows part of the 3D model we developed to help communicate Mike's vision for Sydney’s newest waterfront project.

Congratulations to all involved in bringing it to life.

This is going to be epic! Congratulations Jodi and team @ The Ranch Adventure Park

Congratulations to The Ranch team for securing council approval of their amazing $48m action sports precinct this week!

The Ranch is a family owned local business and this is a world class project and a big win for the Mornington Peninsula community. We were thrilled to be involved in the proposal stage.

Check out the article and see CEV visualisations in the link/blurb below (paywall) https://www.heraldsun.com.au/leader/south-east/48m-action-sports-precinct-planned-for-the-ranch-boneo/news-story/cdd00a84180228549ccb0b33ce9971b8 - A world-class action sports precinct with year-round skiing and skate parks to take aspiring athletes from the grassroots level to elite competition will be built on the Mornington Peninsula.

The $48m centre, believed to be an Australian first, has been approved for an existing camping and horseriding business at Boneo known as The Ranch.

It is expected to attract close to 500,000 visitors and pump about $38m into the local economy each year."
