🐾 Not every SES rescue involves chainsaws, storms or floodwaters. 🐾

Yesterday, Emerald SES volunteers responded to assist with the rescue of a dog that had become trapped beneath a house. After assessing the situation and carefully gaining access, members were able to safely free the dog and reunite it with its owner.

A great outcome and another reminder that no two days in SES are ever the same.

Today we’re celebrating Wear Orange Wednesday 🧡

WOW Day is a chance to recognise and thank SES volunteers across Victoria and Australia for the time, skill and dedication they give to their communities.

At Emerald SES, our volunteers respond to storms, floods, road rescues, searches and other emergencies, often leaving their families, work and everyday lives to help others when they need it most.

We also acknowledge the families, friends, employers and supporters who stand behind our volunteers. Your support makes this service possible.

To all SES volunteers: thank you for everything you do.

Turn Containers into CAKE 🧁and Support the Cancer Council.

Next Thursday 21st of May, SES EMERALD CDS program will be open for your returns.

We are fundraising for the Cancer Council and all containers donated on the day will be given to fund Cancer research.

Recent stats are 1 in 2 people will get some form of Cancer in their lives.
So this week, we can help you donate to a very worthy cause
Bring in your containers and collect a treat from our Cake stall.
Alternatively donate via the QR code or Drop in a Cash Donation between 11am and 7pm and grab a cake or biscuit.

It's almost Wear Orange Wednesday (National WOW DAY!!) on Wednesday, 20/05/2026. The day Australia dons a touch of orange to thank our SES volunteers for what they do best. Pull out your favorite piece of orange clothing, socks, ribbon, or hat and wear it to school or work. Dress up your pets and take photos. Post your pictures on social media. Email me your pics at [email protected]. Show your support to our SES volunteers. 🧡
