On Sunday 23rd November, Emu Park Historical Museum volunteers, family and friends gathered for the unveiling of a plaque in memory of the late Trevor Bird.

Trevor selflessly dedicated his time and passion to the Museum from 2014 to 2025, serving as Secretary, Treasurer and Grants Officer. During this time he helped to facilitate and lead many important projects that have shaped the Museum as we know it today.

Trevor’s commitment and contribution will never be forgotten. 💙

Join Our Friendly Volunteer Team!
Emu Park Historical Museum

Are you passionate about local history and looking to give back to the community? Emu Park Historical Museum is currently seeking enthusiastic volunteers to join our welcoming team.

Opportunities Available:

Visitor Engagement – Greet and assist museum visitors
General Maintenance – Light repairs and upkeep
Yard Work – Gardening and outdoor care
Cleaning – Help keep the museum tidy
Basic Computer Work – Simple data entry or admin tasks
Training is provided for all roles

We are also looking for a dedicated volunteer with secretarial skills to help manage our office duties.

Museum Hours:
Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM

The museum recently celebrated its 40th Birthday!

Many thanks to the Livingstone Shire for their support for our 40th Anniversary celebrations! Another great thank you to Michelle Landry MR for making time to open our new military display area and cut our birthday cake. A fantastic time was had by all!
