The Royal Australian Regiment Association The Royal Australian Regiment Association is a mutual association of past and present infantrymen.

The Regiment (RAR) was raised in 1948, the Association (RARA) was formed in 1969 and the Corporation (RARC) in 2010.

VALE: Allan Joseph McLean – 3rd May 1941 – 8th June 2026

The Royal Australian Regiment, and all who served with Allan are saddened by his passing and offer their condolence to Wendy and their family including the 4 RAR Association Family. Allan enlisted in the Regular Army in 1959 and served in 3 RAR, in 1963 with 2 RAR on promotion to CPL and in 1964 was posted to the newly raised 4 RAR for service in Malaysia and in Borneo during Indonesian Confrontation....

TPI Federation President’s 2nd letter to members- Allied Health

On 12 May, the Federal Government released its budget for the 2026/27 financial year. Within it, there is a line item for Allied Health for Veterans, with a “Cap Limit” of $5,000 per Financial Year. The TPI Federation sought clarification on what this means during the ESORT Budget Brief on 13 May. The TPI Federation, asked whether the $5,000 limit applies to all Allied Health support for the entire financial year—or whether it can be exceeded when there is a genuine clinical need that this could be collectively done, so that Veterans can maintain continuity of care through services such as Exercise Physiotherapy Psychology, and Dietetics....

Vietnam veteran John O’Halloran awarded the Medal for Gallantry

John O'Halloran said he was "honoured" to receive the medal. (ABC News: Jasmine Hughes) Vietnam veteran John O'Halloran has received Australia’s third-highest military honour, the Medal of Gallantry, at a ceremony at Government House in Perth. Mr O'Halloran was just 21 when he led a fixed-bayonet charge against a Viet Cong jungle stronghold during Operation Bribie in February 1967, one of the fiercest engagements involving Australian troops during the Vietnam War....
