The latest cohort of Australian Army Reserve recruits from 11 BDE RIC-NQ (Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Rockhampton and Gladstone) have wrapped up their Gap training at the Mount Stuart Training Area, Townsville.

The five-day activity is the next phase of training and assessment for members after having completed their ab initio training at Kapooka, and provides a great opportunity for reservists to work in a field environment, putting their skills in day and night navigation, tactical field craft, weapons handling and Tactical Combat Casualty Care (TCCC) to the test.

Well done to the newest members of the team, and best of luck as you continue your ADF journey.

Run Army 2026 Townsville- Thumbs Up!!

11 Brigade members joined hundreds of other runners over the weekend to raise funds for charity and enjoy Townsville’s beautiful early morning autumn weather for Run Army 2026.

EX PARAPET ATLAS 2026

Sappers from 11th Engineer Regiment, supported by soldiers from 25/49 RQR and 141 Signals Squadron, conducted a water borne activity over the weekend, seizing and searching the Queensland Maritime Museum from the Brisbane River.

The Sappers made their way from HMAS Moreton before conducting the operation.

Ready Set- Run Army!

The count down is on to the annual Run Army event at Jezzine Barracks, Townsville.

11 Brigade soldiers PTE Alicia Garutti (141st Signals Squadron) PTE Jake Healy (31st/42nd Battalion, the Royal Queensland Regiment) and CPL Liam Mendiolea (141st Signals Squadron) will join hundreds of runners at tomorrow morning’s sold out event , helping raise funds for charities supporting current and former soldiers and First Responders across Australia.

Happy New Year from Brigade

As we welcome 2026, 11th Brigade extends our best wishes to all members of the Australian Defence Force, Defence families, and the wider community.

The past year has been one of dedication, teamwork, and service, from supporting communities during Operation Alfred Assist, to maintaining readiness through our Joint Task Group (JTG) cycle and numerous training activities across Queensland and northern New South Wales.

To our soldiers, both Regular and Reserve, and to your families who stand beside you - thank you for your commitment and resilience. Your service and support are what make 11th Brigade strong.
