11th Brigade - Australian Army

11th Brigade - Australian Army The 11th Brigade is an Australian Army combat formation which is trained and equipped to carry out tasks as required by the Government of Australia.

The 11th Brigade of the Australian Army was raised in early 1916 under the command of the 3rd Division. The Brigade saw action throughout World War 1 and World War 2. The Brigade currently operates under the command of the 2nd Division. It forms a deployable force element known as Battlegroup CANNAN Which supports Australia's 3rd Brigade.

JTF629 is wheels up from Weipa, Napranum, and Mapoon.
Our rehearsal is complete, our people are homeward bound, and our mission objectives have been achieved. Thank you to the communities who welcomed us, supported us, and worked alongside us. We leave with gratitude and we remain vigilant, prepared, and ready to redeploy the moment Australia needs us again.
