Empowering Migrant Women to Have a Voice:

At The Door Bells: Migrant Women's Network, we are committed to empowering migrant women by providing a platform for their engagement in political and community discussions. Our goal is to raise awareness, build confidence, and develop the skills migrant women need to have a voice in shaping our society.

We are pleased to share a letter to the editor that was published today in Shepparton News, expressing our deep disappointment in the Greater Shepparton City Councilโ€™s decision to reinstate Australia Day celebrations on January 26th. This date represents pain and trauma for First Nations communities and contradicts the principles of reconciliation and inclusivity that our council claims to uphold.

We are thankful to our local media for publishing our letter and helping to amplify diverse voices within our community. Together, we can continue to advocate for a future that is truly inclusive and just.

Join us at The Door Bells as a member or ally in our mission to create meaningful change and ensure that migrant womenโ€™s voices are heard loud and clear.
