A huge congratulations to for hosting such an enjoyable evening in support of the Strathbogie Disaster Fund. Our team had a fantastic night—thank you for a great event and for bringing the community together for such an important cause.

What an amazing day we had yesterday hosting Hume Region Women in Rescue Day.
It was so inspiring to see women of all ages having a go, learning new skills and making new friends.
A huge thank you to our wonderful local supporters – Cafe 56 and Burkes Bakery – for generously giving your time and goods to support the day.
We’re so proud of the incredible women in our SES family and can’t wait to welcome even more into the team.

Yesterday we did the car park marshalling at the Tones and I Bushfire Relief Concert in Longwood.
Thanks to Shepparton Search and Rescue Squad, SES Tatura and SES Murchison for coming over to help us out.

Thankyou to Concert Management for letting us have a go and helping us out when it got busy. Massive thanks for also letting our volunteers attend the concert inbetween shifts. It was a great afternoon/night.

⛈️ Hang tight for heavy rainfall! ⛈️

Large parts of the State, including Melbourne, are in for a battering today as a slow-moving storm impacts central and eastern districts from late this morning and into the afternoon.

It might seem sunny in some areas for now, but don’t be fooled by the early morning sunshine.

Around 40-70mm of rain is possible in some areas, with a serious risk of flash flooding that could cover roads and damage homes.

People out and about today are urged to drive to the conditions, allow extra travel time and stay alert for hazards such as fallen trees, downed powerlines and floating debris.

Our Victoria State Emergency Service volunteers are ready to respond when and where they are needed. Call 132 500 if you need assistance.
