The Young Adults Advisory Council (YAAC) provides an opportunity for young adult members to share their experiences, ideas and perspectives directly with CFA leaders and help shape initiatives that support the future of volunteering.

WOMEN’S ADVISORY COMMITTEE | NOW RECRUITING

Have your voice heard and help shape the future of women and gender diverse members at CFA.

The Women’s Advisory Committee (WAC) connects representatives from all 21 CFA districts with the CEO, Chief Officer and senior CFA leaders to share ideas, raise issues and support diversity and inclusion across CFA.

The Committee meets approximately every two months and welcomes a range of roles, experiences and perspectives.

💜 Wear It Purple Day – Friday 28 August

At CFA, Wear It Purple Day is an opportunity to show our support for LGBTQIA+SB young people and reaffirm our commitment to a safe, respectful and inclusive organisation where everyone feels they belong.

It’s a day to celebrate diversity, stand against bullying and discrimination, and recognise the strength that different experiences, perspectives and identities bring to our people, brigades and communities.

By wearing purple, starting conversations and showing support, we can help create a culture where everyone feels safe, respected, valued and included.

💜 Together, we can create a CFA where everyone belongs.

Young children aged between 0-4 are at high risk of home fire fatalities,
burn and scald injuries due to fires, and fire play in the home. CFA and FRV recommend that you put smoke alarms in all sleeping areas, especially the areas of one of our most high risk age groups, children under the age of 10.
If you have young children or close the door for them to sleep, make sure to put smoke alarms in to them and check regularly that they are working. 🔥🚒 Proud of Our Firefighters! 🚒🔥

A huge shout-out to our amazing firefighters who are taking on the Stair Climb charity climb and put their strength, determination and teamwork to the test — all while raising money for a great cause! ❤️

It was fantastic to see their efforts recognised in the local paper. We couldn’t be prouder of the dedication and community spirit they continue to show, both on and off duty.

🚒🔥 Last night at training…

While most of the community was winding down for the night, our Eynesbury crews were getting to work. 🌙

Last night’s training was all about putting skills into practice, working as a team and getting hands-on with the equipment in a realistic night-time scenario.

It’s nights like these that build confidence, sharpen skills and make sure our volunteers are ready when the call comes. 💪👨‍🚒👩‍🚒
