Last Wednesday was our school athletics carnival. The weather gods were on our side and we were met with an amazing autumn’s day! The boys and girls competed in the track events, long jump and high jump and it was fantastic to see our little athletes show off their skill set. Thanks to all the teachers and parents that made the day so successful.

Congratulations to our students who competed at CWPSSA district Cross country today. Everyone ran their hearts out and represented our school with pride. A special thanks to our generous P&C who purchased new running singlets for our students to compete in. They look FANTASTIC! Our P&C also organised and ran the canteen today to raise money for our school. We are so grateful for their amazing efforts.

🌟 1/2 Wuri - Term 1 Highlights 🌟
1/2 Wuri have had a fantastic start to the year. Students have been developing their writing skills, learning how to write simple and compound sentences using nouns, verbs and adjectives. In Mathematics, 1/2 Wuri have been exploring 2D shapes and investigating how shapes can move through translations and slides. A special highlight was our beautiful Harmony Day artwork, where students celebrated diversity and inclusivity through creative expression. We also had a wonderful time at our Easter Hat Parade on the last day of term,enjoying the creativity and excitement as students proudly showcased their festive hats. 🐣🎩

We are so proud of the enthusiasm and effort shown by all students from Wuri and look forward to more exciting learning ahead in Term 2! 💙

3/4 Gulung have had an amazing term 1. In English, we have been studying the novel Fantastic Mr. Fox and working on our narrative writing. We have explored one point perspective, symmetry and colour in our artworks. We have enjoyed many hands on activities in our maths lessons and have been practicing our striking and throwing in various modified sport games. We are a FANTASTIC team and cannot wait to continue our learning in Term 2.

3/4 Gulung have had an amazing term 1! In English, we have been studying the novel Fantastic Mr. Fox and practicing our narrative writing. In maths, we have enjoyed a range of hands on activities. We have been practicing one point perspective, symmetry and the use of colour in our artworks. In sport, we have had fun using various striking, throwing and kicking skills in modified games. We are a FANTASTIC team and cannot wait to be back in Term 2!
